My Crowning Acheivement–So Far

5 06 2008

My wife and I bought a stereo for our living room so she can play music during the day to help her cope with the chaos which comes with raising two little kids. We had to break it in so I kicked on some music as I immediately began fiddling with the EQ.
As we listened to the epic musical voyage that is “Only In Dreams” I naturally began to air guitar. When I looked down, there was my son raising his “Air-Goblet of Rock” high in the sky with his own “oxygen-axe”. Normally, somebody wouldn’t be so proud of this, but since I’ve been playing guitar for 14 years it was an awesome sight!
I’m not pushing music on my kids, but, my son constantly tries to get into my guitar cases, takes all my music catalogues and finds the guitar pages, and is absolutely drawn to any musical instrument like a Magneto in a steel factory!
While, yes, some day I will teach him how to take my vintage Stratocaster and shred like Oroku Saki (bonus points for you if you caught the Ninja Turtles reference), for now we will just continue putting on a greatest hits concert for Tamra and Elli with our air guitars.

Levi has been doing the air guitar thing for a little bit now. I think, however, that it was my sister that taught him – not me.
