I found this on HeroDads.com and found it interesting…
Some amazing facts about dads in the United States: Based on a national poll by Family Circle magazine.
- 86% say the rewards of fatherhood trump those of a career.
- 89% approve of leaving fast-track careers to spend more time with family.
- 88% wish fathers were more supportive of each other in their roles as dads.
- 90% say becoming a father made them want to be a better person and role model for their kids.
I can really relate to that last one. Especially when I found out I was having a son it made me feel like I needed to up my spiritual game, so to say, because I not only had to teach a child how to live like Christ I had to teach this little human how to be a man of God.
I know statistics can say whatever you want them to say, but, what do you think? Do you agree? How can we be more supportive of each other in our roles as dads?
I remember coming to the same realization several years ago. Your child will follow your example. I must say that any sacrafice made for your child is well worth it. There is nothing in this world that gives better gratification than seeing your children honor God.
